Adding New Chapters to an Old Story
Preschool Sunday will be February 24 during the 11:00 service. There are many activities going on that day and throughout the week that you won’t want to miss! Our Board will recognize a person or organization for their contribution to our Program with the Mary Hunter Award during the service. We will be serving beef and chicken Tacos with all the fixings after the service in the Family Life Center. The meal is $8/plate. We will have take home plates available. Please call 648-3311 or email Mary Maddrey to reserve your plates (for take-out or dining in). We will only have 225 tickets to sell, making sure we have enough food to serve everyone! Please reserve your tickets soon!! The Kindergarten Class will be performing a play during the Luncheon for everyone’s enjoyment.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be open Sunday for making all your purchases of books, posters, games and much more. Selection is for children to adults! The Book Fair will continue to be opened Monday through Thursday, 8:30-1:30.
We will also have several baskets available for a Silent Auction that will begin on Preschool Sunday and end at 12:00 on Wednesday, February 27. The baskets will be located in the Book Fair, Room #2.
Please plan to join us on Preschool Sunday, February 24.
From the Pastor
Maria Harris once wrote: “The Church does not have an education program, it is an education program”. We the members of First Presbyterian Church take this charge very seriously. We see our involvement with First Presbyterian Preschool as a vital part of what the church is and who we are all called to be. With God's help, and through our excellent faculty and administration, it is our desire to provide the most caring, safe, and preparatory program possible. With special care and developmental encouragement offered to each child, we are a wonderful resource for young families in this community. Please let us know if you have any questions, concern, insights, or suggestions.
From the Director
We consider every child in our program a very special and a very treasured gift. It is indeed a blessing and a privilege to share their development. We believe it is our responsibility to help your child grow, to nurture the seed that God has planted. As your child grows, we will encourage them to discover the wonders of our world, realize his/her own unique talents, and learn the joy of sharing with others.
